In recognition of his distinguished military service and subsequent business leadership, Retired Colonel Kolawole Kayode Shaw, has been awarded an honorary Doctoral Degree in Business Administration by Euro Knowledge Institute, London, United Kingdom.
At the ceremony held at Westminster, London and witnessed by an esteemed gathering of international leaders, academics, entrepreneurs and changemakers, Shaw, the Managing Director of Kolie Mobs Ventures Limited, was honoured by the Institute alongside Mr. John Momoh, Chairman/ CEO, Channels Television.
According to the Institute, the honorary doctorate was to celebrate exceptional individuals whose leadership, innovation, service and contributions have made a significant impact within their professions, communities and society at large.
With this honour, Shaw becomes one of few retired military officers recognised by the Institute for bridging military service with humanitarian impact.
Shaw retired from the Nigerian Army in 2011. He was a one-time Director, Army Post-Service Housing Directorate and later became the first Managing Director of the Nigerian Army Post-Service Housing Development Company. After retirement, Shaw became a real estate guru while his company developed the Mamman Vasta Writers Village in Abuja owned by Association of Nigerian Authors (ANA).
