A celebratory mood filled the air at CLI College’s Lagos campus as the institution held its 10th graduation ceremony in just four years. Over 50 students received their certificates and diplomas in healthcare fields like Healthcare Assistant and Mental Health & Addiction Counselling.
Angela Chizea, Head of Health School at CLI College, took center stage to commend the graduates’ dedication. She emphasized the importance of education in shaping their futures, highlighting the knowledge and skills they have gained that will pave the way for successful careers. Her message extended beyond the graduates, expressing heartfelt gratitude to the college staff and families who provided unwavering support throughout their journeys.
The ceremony wasn’t just a celebration of individual achievements, but a testament to CLI College’s commitment to bridging the critical gap in Nigeria’s healthcare workforce. This dedication was further amplified by the announcement of new healthcare programs offered by the college. These programs, including Health Office Administration, Developmental Support Worker, and Pharmacy Assistant, will equip future graduates with even more specialized knowledge and skills, allowing them to make a significant impact on the national healthcare landscape.
Odunayo Sanya, Executive Director and Board Member of MTN Foundation, delivered the keynote speech. She emphasized the crucial role of the private sector, including individuals and institutions, in addressing the skills gap in Nigeria’s healthcare industry.
Sanya stressed the importance of a strong healthcare system for a thriving economy. “A healthy workforce is essential,” she said. “When there are issues with healthcare access, it hinders economic growth.”
The ceremony culminated in the awarding of certificates and diplomas by Chizea. She praised the graduates for their hard work and commitment.
CLI College’s graduation ceremony exemplifies its dedication to providing Nigerians with the skills and knowledge needed to address the critical shortage of qualified healthcare professionals. Their programs empower graduates to pursue rewarding careers and contribute significantly to the national healthcare workforce.
