President Bola Tinubu has been urged to address Nigerians on what the federal government is doing to end the economic crisis in the country.

The Planter of Christ Apostolic Church (CAC) Adamimogo, Grace Of Mercy Prayer Mountain Worldwide, Prophet Sam Olu Alo who gave the advice said that could help in stopping the impending planned nationwide protests.

Prophet Olu-Alo who posited that Nigerians are presently going through pains called on the people to intensify prayers for the country.

The renowned cleric who described peaceful protest as an instrument to call attentions to issues affecting a group of people, however, said protests must be peacefully conducted ,civil, and devoid of violence .

He stated this in his message to the Nigerian government and the people on the impending planned nationwide protests which will commence on Thursday, August 1st, 2024 .

The man of God said, “My first advice goes to President Bola Tinubu and those working with him as well as the members of the National Assembly is that they should talk to those who were bent on staging the protest across the country what they have in store which will be of great benefit to them and Nigeria as a nation.

“There is no tribe and language in Nigeria that is not feeling pains and hardship at this point in time. He should talk to them like a father talking to his child or children, because a leader in a community or society has become a father and mother to every members of that society. Tell the people about those things bothering your hearts about the situation of the country and handing the proposed protests with levity hands .

“Why it is important for the president to address the people, including the youths , men and women is that , despite the pains and hardship the people are facing , there is still mercy upon this nation. Nigerians , are kind of tribe that persevere and endure a lot and we do obey constituted authority. If we give it a spiritual consideration critically, talk to them concerning what they have for our country”.

Prophet Olu-Alo who urged all Nigerians to listen attentively to hear what the president of Nigeria has for them said, “The little time given to address us on the steps to be taken , I will want advice that we should be calm and patience in looking at the time .

“The reason why we need to be calm and give time in considering it is that, all thing worketh for good . During the era of former president Goodluck Jonathan, people protested , and that protest was a kind that gave comfort which made people to come out in their large numbers to participate in it . They used the protest to call the attention of Jonathan’s government to certain things. So , protest is to call the attention to happenings and there is no country all over the world where is pains or hardship they do use protest to speak to the country and the leader of the country”.

While warning against destruction of property and stoking of violence during protests, he said, “In some areas, the wicked people, those who don’t want good things to happen, do hijack our own protests in Nigeria to cause trouble and war. There is no sin in staging protest, it is for the people register their displeasure at something.

“Whatever we want to do as good citizens, let’s be moderate about it and we should not give chance to the enemy of our country to use his antic to cause trouble or to destroy good things which the people have done .

“On thing I want Nigerians to know is that, if we give this wicked people chance to operate, to destroy government property and assets, we are still going to suffer for it and struggle to replace them .

“When you look at the time of #ENDSARS protest, many banks that were destroyed up till now, some communities are still suffering for it as
banks no longer operate in such communities they now travel to another towns to collect cash . There are some business establishments that were destroyed during that protest that are longer come back to life.

“As a result of this, life of innocent people were lost because the wicked people came in and some hardened people in the secret that are looking for an opportunity to cause mayhem and disrupt the peace of our nation.

“So, I am pleading with you my people, in our country Nigeria, let’s add the knowledge of God to to it . Whatever that belongs to the government, we should allow anybody to touch it. And if our president have the grace of coming to round table with the people for dialogue, they should make use of such avenue”.

Admonishing all religious leaders and their followers in Nigeria to preach peace he said , “We should let the president know that in truth , there is pain in Nigeria and our federal lawmakers to also know that there is pain in the land .

“Whether they will cut from their salaries and share items as palliatives to the people, let them do something. Let the government workout modalities to bring down the pump price of fuel. They should expedite action on the payment of the new minimum was and state governor should also do the needful.

“This is not the time the governors will be saying they don’t have money to pay because people are in pains . People want to hear comforting words from them not the one will make them unhappy. When things like this are happening, Nigerians will know that they think about them. Let’s keep intensifying prayers for our country and preach love .

“Political office holders should love those who voted them into office and put themselves their shoes. Look at the way they live and consider the food inflation in the country. Nigeria will be in peace and the time of comfort will come. We should not allow any politician to use us to destabilize the country”, he concluded.
