Clearance operations ongoing after attack in Niger -Police

The Niger State Police Command has disclosed that security agencies are carrying out clearance operations and monitoring activities following an attack by suspected armed bandits that left four people dead.

Niger state Police Public Relations Officer in Niger, SP Wasiu Abiodun, said the incident occurred in Damala Village, Woko District, Borgu Local Government, of the state

He said the incident occurred in the early hours of Saturday, when the assailants reportedly rustled some cattle and set several shops ablaze within the village.

Abiodun said the security agencies visited the scene promptly, and clearance operations were ongoing while monitoring of the situation continues.
