In a statement signed by its President, Prof. Chinedu Nebo, the group noted that Clark’s contributions to Nigeria’s governance, unity, and development were remarkable.

“He was a strong advocate for justice, equity for the oppressed, which earned him recognition as a courageous leader and a pillar of Nigeria’s democratic evolution,” the statement read.

Nzuko Umunna said the late leader’s life was marked by his commitment to national progress and his fearless stance on critical issues.

“His iconic life was marked by his relentless efforts to shape Nigeria’s future. He played diverse and unique roles as a respected elder statesman and a skilled politician.”

The group also acknowledged his influence in Nigeria’s political space, stating, “His passionate advocacy, guided by his commitment to progress and well-being of his people, made him a highly influential voice in Nigeria’s political sphere.”

They described his passing as a great loss but stressed that his legacy would remain a guiding force in the country’s pursuit of unity and development.

“His legacy will continue to guide Nigeria’s pursuit of harmony and development, and his selfless dedication to building a better nation will be deeply missed,” it said.
