The New Seraph Evangelical Ministries Worldwide is targeting over 500,000 worshippers for the eighth edition of its annual Night of Divine Experience (NODE 8.0), while calling on Nigerians to reject vote-buying, secure their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) and elect leaders based on competence and integrity.
Addressing newsmen ahead of the three-day event, the ministry’s founder and Iya Aladura General, Dr. Oluwaseye Yomi-Sholoye, announced that NODE 8.0 would take place from August 12 to 14, at The New Seraph Prayer City in Ode Remo, Ogun State.
Themed, “Supernatural Breakthrough” and inspired by Micah 2:12–13, the conference will bring together worshippers from across Nigeria and the diaspora for prayer, worship, Bible teaching and national intercession.
Dr. Yomi-Sholoye highlighted the ministry’s extensive preparations, including coordinated security with official agencies, free transport logistics and nationwide evangelical campaigns.
To ease travel, the ministry has deployed over 350 Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) buses across Lagos, alongside thousands of interstate buses to transport attendees free of charge. The event will also stream live across the ministry’s digital channels.
Addressing national issues, the cleric noted that Nigeria’s economic, social and security challenges require both practical civic engagement and spiritual intervention.
She acknowledged current efforts by the Federal Government to reinforce national security architecture and expand the armed forces to combat banditry and violent crime, while emphasising that nation-building requires public cooperation.
She urged citizens to remain law-abiding, pray for the country and actively participate in governance by registering and picking up their PVCs.
She cautioned voters against short-term financial inducements ahead of upcoming elections.
“The future of our nation must never be compromised for temporary gain,” Yomi-Sholoye said. She also called on political candidates to focus on issue-based campaigns grounded in accountability and vision rather than empty promises, adding, “The season of empty promises is over. Show us your works. Be instruments of breakthrough.”
On security and safety at the Prayer City, she confirmed that the ministry was collaborating with the Nigeria Police Force and secondary security agencies for surveillance, crowd control and emergency response. Trained personnel, controlled access points and emergency protocols are positioned across the grounds.
Featured guest ministers for the event include Bishop S.T.V. Adegbite, Prophet Israel Oladele Genesis, Prophet Hezekiah Oladeji, Pastor E.D. Alalade, Prophet Muyiwa Akogun, Prophet Emmanuel Ayodele, Prophet Sam Adebayo Authority and Prophet Toyin Dabiri, among others.
The programme schedule features prayer sessions, specialised seminars for men, women and youth, musical worship, bible quizzes, healing and deliverance services and prophetic ministrations.
