Samuel Chukwueze may have eased the pressure on himself after he netted his first goal in Serie A, but instead of more cheering news around the Super Eagles winger, it is to report his Transfermarkt value has plummeted in the latest upgrade.
Chukwueze transfer value was £20 million and now he has lost £3 million for his updated value to be £17 million.
This is as a result of the fact that he has yet to make a success of his huge summer transfer from La Liga to Serie A giant, AC Milan amid criticisms by the fans.
His inconsistency also meant he no longer commands a starting shirt in the Super Eagles.
At the recent AFCON, Moses Simon and Ademola Lookman were preferred to him.
Meanwhile, goalkeeper Maduka Okoye has been rewarded for his brilliance in goal for Udinese as his Transfermarkt value has shot up by a £1m.
The Udinese Player of the Month for February now has a Transfermakt value of £3 million.
Meanwhile, Sky journalist, Peppe Di Stefano has offered some insight on the form of Super Eagles and Milan winger.
In a report from Sky, Di Stefano (via Radio Rossonera) analysed the current moment at Milan focusing in particular on two individuals, namely Leao and Chukwueze who operate on the left and right respectively.
“Now, a few days of rest granted by Pioli and from today (Monday) back to Milanello for the final sprint. A sprint for which Milan hopes that Samuel Chukwueze will also sign up for, perhaps the real weak link in the Rossoneri’s latest summer transfer market.
“The Nigerian, for now, has not convinced despite the three goals, two of which were in the Champions League. But it is reasonable to expect much more from this boy who, with the Villarreal shirt in recent seasons, had attracted the attention of half of Europe and who has, up to now, disappointed expectations in Milan.
“Few matches played and few high-level performances. Now it’s up to him, in the next 60 days, to make the skeptics change their minds and turn his season around. He will have chances, it will only depend on his performance.”
