Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has urged Nigerians to confront poor leadership and other root causes of their troubles.

Atiku gave the charge in a Christmas message shared on Facebook.

The 2023 presidential candidate of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) noted that widespread suffering would continue until these root causes were confronted.

He said, “I extend my heartfelt greetings to the Christian community in Nigeria. This season reminds us of the importance of love, unity, compassion, and selflessness.

“It is a time to reflect on these values and come together as a nation despite the challenges we face.”

He encouraged Nigerians to embrace gratitude for the blessing of this season, even amidst the hardships confronting the country.

Atiku added, “It is also a time to confront the root causes of our struggles, including poor leadership, which has led to widespread suffering.

“I believe in the strength of our unity. With love and togetherness, we can overcome any obstacle.”
