The Government of the People’s Republic of China, on Thursday, congratulated Nigeria on its 66th independence anniversary.
The Chinese Ambassador to Nigeria, Yu Dunhai, expressed the warm sentiments on behalf of the Government and people of China in a congratulatory message posted on X.
Yu said: “On behalf of the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Nigeria, I extend our warmest congratulations to the Federal Republic of Nigeria on the occasion of its 66th Independence Anniversary.”
The Chinese envoy further said October 1 is a special day for both China and Nigeria, as both countries celebrate China’s National Day and Nigeria’s Independence Day on the same day.
“On this day of shared celebration, I wish the people of China and Nigeria peace, happiness and prosperity. May our two countries continue to strengthen friendship and cooperation, walk hand in hand toward a brighter future, and work together for greater prosperity and well-being for our two peoples.
“Happy Independence Day to Nigeria!
Happy National Day to China!” Yu stated.
