Chinese Ambassador to Nigeria Yu Dunhai Meets with Chairman of Senate Committee on Foreign Affairs, Senator Sani Bello

The Chairman, Senate Committee on Foreign Affairs, Senator Sani Bello (l), in a handshake with the Chinese Ambassador to Nigeria, Yu Dunhai, when the latter paid a working visit to Bello at the National Assembly in Abuja.

On January 9, 2026, the Chinese Ambassador to Nigeria, Yu Dunhai, met with the Chairman of the Senate Committee on Foreign Affairs, Senator Sani Bello.

During the meeting, the two sides exchanged views on China-Nigeria relations and practical cooperation across various fields.

Both parties agreed to accelerate the implementation of the zero-tariff policy in Nigeria and to continuously advance the China-Nigeria Comprehensive Strategic Partnership to new heights.

Bello, the immediate past Governor of Niger State, reaffirmed Nigeria’s firm commitment to the One-China Principle.
