Chelsea is set to begin important discussions with Victor Osimhen’s representatives this week as the Blues aim to reach an agreement regarding his wage demands, which are reportedly €12 million per year.

According to FootballTransfers, Chelsea will hold ‘crunch talks’ with Osimhen’s representatives this week.

While BBC journalist Nizaar Kinsella has indicated that the Blues plan to sign a new striker after the season, and they are likely to be aggressive in the transfer market to find a suitable option alongside Nicolas Jackson.

However, the 26-year-old Osimhen is not expected to lower his salary expectations, with sources indicating that he could ask for around £400,000 per week at his next club. He is anticipated to leave Napoli this summer, as he has just over a year remaining on his contract, which is valid until June 2026.

Additionally, Juventus is also working on a proposal to sign the Nigerian striker, offering a package worth €85 million to acquire him from Serie A rivals Napoli. However, the €75 million release clause in his contract is only applicable to clubs outside of Italy.
