Chief Charles Udeogaranya, a prominent international commerce association leader and media consultant, has called on African leaders to make the most of the upcoming 2024 China-Africa Summit.

Following a recent tour of China with representatives from Nigerian media organisations, Udeogaranya emphasised the importance of fostering strong economic partnerships with China rather than relying solely on loans for government projects with limited benefits for citizens.

In a press release on August 18, 2024, Udeogaranya highlighted the need for African nations to focus on Business to Business (B2B) partnerships and direct currency swaps.
He argued that such strategies would create opportunities for local enterprises, enhance affordability, and generate substantial job creation, ultimately benefiting the wider population.
Udeogaranya described China as Africa’s most friendly nation, noting the country’s genuine interest in establishing win-win relationships with African nations.
He urged African leaders to treat their Chinese counterparts with the respect and camaraderie befitting close allies.
As the 2024 Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC) summit approaches, Udeogaranya stressed that African leaders, including Nigeria’s President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, must seize this critical opportunity to secure the best possible outcomes for their countries.
