Controversial Nigerian streamer Carter Efe and boxer Godday Appah headline the Chaos in the Ring event on October 1, returning to Lagos to celebrate Nigeria’s Independence Day.
Appah will defend his WBO African Light Heavyweight Continental Championship against Ghana’s Seth “Freezy Macbones” Gyimah. Meanwhile, Efe will face rapper Darlington Okoye, known as Speed Darlington, in a celebrity boxing match that serves as the event’s main attraction.
Carter Efe told The Sun, “F!ghting Speed Darlington is like fighting my dad; he’s an old man for me. I’m just glad he doesn’t have children, because I’m scared I shouldn’t go and kpa! Someone’s fada that day because I will beat him to ‘death’.”
The fight card also features Adebayo versus Fatiu Jomoni, Eworitse “African King” Arenyeka versus Lekan “The Engine” Muibi, Yusuf “Swaggu” Adeniji against Tagoe, Israel Makinde versus Abiodun Muyideen, and Rimpassakde “The King Cobra” Kinda versus Rosnov, representing fighters from across Africa.

Ezekiel Adamu, founder of Chaos in the Ring and Balmoral Group Promotions, stated that the event aims to develop African boxing and showcase the continent’s talent globally.
“It’s never about perfection. It’s always about momentum,” Adamu said.
SuperSport and DAZN will broadcast the event across Africa and worldwide, as organizers seek to build a platform at the crossroads of sport, entertainment, and African culture.
The event will be held at The Balmoral, Federal Palace Hotel, Lagos, on Thursday, October 1, with Appah defending Nigerian pride against a Ghanaian challenger who has promised to leave Lagos with the belt.
