The results reinforce ChangAn’s strong momentum across global markets and the growing consumer demand for new energy vehicles (NEVs).

Sales of NEVs alone reached 450,000 units, marking a 48.8 percent year-on-year increase, while the enduringly popular CS75 series has now achieved 2.8 million cumulative sales worldwide.

Regional Growth Ambitions in Focus

ChangAn’s upward trajectory is mirrored in its growing focus on international markets. The recent DEEPAL launch in Norway signals the brand’s ambitions in Europe, while momentum continues to build across the Middle East and Africa.

Indeed, the momentum is evident in the Nigerian market where Changan official representative, Mikano Motors, is gradually driving the brand to the heart of car buyers  – recording appreciable sales and winning awards despite the general lull in the local market

With rising demand for sustainable, smart mobility solutions, ChangAn is accelerating its investment in the region, working closely with local partners to introduce more NEV models, expand service networks, and deliver tailored experiences to Middle Eastern consumers.

Mr. Xiao, General Manager, Middle East and Africa Unit, ChangAn Automobile commented: “These outstanding results reflect the strength of ChangAn’s global strategy and our growing relevance in the new energy space. The Middle East and Africa are central to our future vision—we’re seeing increasing enthusiasm for innovation, sustainability, and intelligent driving experiences.

“We’re committed to delivering products that meet the evolving needs of our customers here, while continuing to raise the bar in quality, technology, and service.”

As ChangAn continues to accelerate its global growth, the brand is well-positioned to play a leading role in shaping the future of mobility across the region.

With a pipeline of new vehicle launches, local partnerships, and expanded service capabilities, ChangAn is set to deepen its footprint and deliver even greater value to customers across the Middle East.

In Nigeria, Changan, ended 2024 on a high as the  CS55 was awarded the coveted prize of Car of the Year, crowning the efforts of Mikano Motors to make the auto brand the most popular in the country.

Changan CS55 was adjudged Nigeria’s Car of the Year by the Nigeria Auto Journalists’ Association (NAJA) at a razzle-dazzle awards ceremony held at the Oriental Hotel in Lagos.
