Despite missing out on Wednesday night’s 3-0 win over Real Madrid, Real Madrid forward Kylian Mbappe remains the top goalscorer.
Mbappe, who has 13 goals, is now recovering from a knee injury, and in his absence, Federico Valverde scored a hat trick versus City.
The Frenchman is three goals ahead of Newcastle United forward Anthony Gordon, who did not score in the 1-1 tie with Barcelona.
Bayern Munich striker, Harry Kane, was also absent as they thrashed Atalanta 5-2 in Bergamo. Kane has scored eight goals so far.
Erling Halaand, Julian Alvarez and Victor Osimhen all have seven goals.
