Ivan Juric, Atalanta’s head coach, has responded to his touchline altercation with Ademola Lookman in Wednesday night’s UEFA Champions League match against Olympic Marseille.

Juric and Lookman argued on the sidelines after the latter was substituted by Yunus Musah in the 75th minute.

The rest of the staff had to separate the two of them.

Reflecting on the row, Juric insists it’s normal for players to express their anger when substituted.

“It’s the usual thing we’ve been commenting on every Sunday, it happened with De Bruyne at Napoli, some players are not happy to be substituted, they don’t react well, and we sort these things out in the locker room,” Juric told Sky Sport Italia.

Lookman pushed to leave La Dea for Inter Milan in the summer.

He has struggled to hit top form this season.
