Celestine Babayaro commends Sports Minister, Enoh

Nigerian former international, Celestine Babayaro, has showered encomium on the Minister of Sports, John Enoh, on his untiring efforts in mobilising government support for the Super Eagles in the just concluded Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) held in Cote d’Ivoire.

Babayaro, a Chelsea legend, also applauded the Minister for extending similar support towards the national basketball team, the Dick Tigress, adding that it further demonstrated his true commitment to his prestigious position as the Minister of Sports.

The former Super Eagles mercurial left back further commended Enoh for his genuine empathy and respect towards the sports industry and its practitioners, stressing that these qualities are highly important administrative elements necessary for the overall growth and development of sports in Nigeria.

Babayaro however advised the Minister to continue with his posture of forming partnerships with relevant stakeholders, particularly those individuals and organisations that have proven track records of excellence.

He added that by doing so, the Minister will further augment the progress of sports in Nigeria, emphasising that; “if Minister Enoh continues to make strides in this direction, history will certainly judge him favorably.

“The positive impact of Enoh’s support for the national teams in AFCON, as well as his dedication to the basketball team, have been duly recognised and appreciated by both players and fans alike.

“The Sports Minister’s commitment to the industry has been evident throughout his tenure, as he has consistently demonstrated a deep understanding of the needs and aspirations of Nigerian athletes.

“His proactive approach to securing government support has greatly contributed to the success of both the Super Eagles and the Dick Tigress.

“As Nigeria continues to make strides in the sports arena, stakeholders are hopeful that Minister John Enoh’s sincere dedication to the industry will pave the way for more achievements and success stories for Nigerian athletes.”Babayaro noted in the statement he issued in Abuja.
