Over 27 people are reportedly receiving treatment in various hospitals after digital asset trading platform CBEX crashed earlier this week.
Nigerians who invested in CBEX continue to bemoan their losses after the Ponzi scheme allegedly swept more than N1.3 trillion from investors’ accounts on Monday.
One of the victims named Sherif Latifu, who resides in Ibadan, revealed that many individuals who lost a lot of money to CBEX have been hospitalised in different hospitals.
Latifu urged Governor Seyi Makinde to come to their aid by subsidising the hospital bills.

“Many hospitals in Ibadan are now admitting victims of CBEX fraud. Over 27 people that I know have been admitted.
“This is a major crisis in Ibadan, and the governor should come to our rescue by subsidising the hospital bills for many,” he stated.
Per online reports, CBEX has locked its Telegram channels, postponing withdrawals while offering investors the option of $200 for $2,000 verification and $100 for deposits below $1,000.
