The Ifo Police Station Command in Ifo Township, Ogun State has admonished politicians to adhere to the rules spelt out by INEC during the ongoing campaigns across the country by various political parties.

Addressing the reporters in his office, Divisional Police Officer DPO and Chief Superintendent of Police, Abiodun Ayinde reminded them to maintain peace and to avoid utterances which may derail their campaigns.

He added that hate speech, rancour, bickering and thuggery will not be tolerated while issue based campaigns should be their watchword.

DPO, however warned hoodlums to steer clear to jungle politics that can lead to any trouble while the police will deal ruthlessly whosoever is willing to jeopardise any campaign.

He also reminded the politicians seeking elective posts in Ifo Local government that Command will soon invite them to sign a peace deal for the peaceful electioneering campaigns.
