Cameroon Friendly: Ajibade, 10 Falcons arrive camp

Ajibade

Captain Rasheedat Ajibade, Canada-based midfielder Ngozi Okobi-Okeoghene and nine other Super Falcons have arrived at the camp of Nigeria’s senior women’s national team, ahead of the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco.

The players are to begin preparations  in earnest for the pre-tournament double-header international friendly against bitter-rivals Cameroon’s Indomitable Lionesses.

The nine other early Falcons are Christy Ucheibe, Gift Monday, Ogbonna Glory, Omega Joy, Onyenezide Esther, Oloko Fatima, Tanzania-based Precious Christopher, Nkwocha Favour and Demehin Oluwatosin.

The friendly matches form part of the team’s build-up programme toward the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON), scheduled to be held in Morocco.

The technical crew is expected to use the fixtures to assess player fitness levels, test tactical variations, and integrate new call-ups into the squad.

More players are anticipated to join the camp in the coming days as the team intensifies preparations for the crucial encounters.

The Super Falcons, record holders of the continental title, will be aiming to fine-tune their squad and build momentum ahead of the championship, where they are expected to mount a strong challenge for the crown.
