Chelsea Football Club announced that midfielder Moises Caicedo has signed a new long-term deal with the club that runs until 2033.

The Ecuador international joined Chelsea from Brighton & Hove Albion in August 2023 and has since established himself as one of the club’s key players.

Caicedo has made 140 appearances for the Blues and played a key role in Chelsea’s triumphs in the UEFA Conference League and the FIFA Club World Cup.

Speaking after signing the new deal, the 24-year-old expressed his happiness and commitment to the club: “I am so happy to have extended my contract at Chelsea. I believe in this team, this club, and I know we’re going in the right direction. We’ve only just begun together.

“There is still a lot more to achieve, and I’m very hungry to keep improving every day. I want to win more trophies with Chelsea and give everything for this club and for the fans.

“We have enjoyed some great times together already, and my dream is to become a Chelsea legend, and I will work as hard as possible to make that happen.”

Chelsea described the contract extension as a big milestone, and they were delighted to secure the long-term future of one of their key midfielders.

The club is looking forward to the next chapter in Caicedo’s Chelsea career as they continue to prepare for future success.
