Nigerian singer Burna Boy has become the first African artiste to surpass 50 million monthly listeners on Spotify.
The milestone was achieved on Monday, marking a new record for an African artiste on the music streaming platform.
The feat was largely driven by the success of Burna Boy’s collaboration with Shakira on the song Dai Dai, which has remained at the top of Spotify’s Global Top Songs chart for several days.
