Grammy-winning Nigerian music star Burna Boy has set a new record as the first African musician to gross the highest revenue from a single concert.

According to Touring Data, a global tour monitoring platform on X (formerly Twitter), @burnaboy’s “No Sign of Weakness” is officially the highest-grossing tour by an African artist in Oceania’s history, with $3.1 million from 31,000 tickets sold across 4 shows.”

He accomplished the milestone on the Sydney stop of his recent ‘No Sign Of Weakness’ tour, which grossed $1.117 million at the Qudos Bank Arena in Sydney, Australia.

The ‘No Sign of Weakness’ tour had 20 events across three continents: North America, Europe, and Oceania.

During the Oceania part of the tour, four gigs in Australia sold around 30,946 tickets, generating $3.1 million in revenue.

This milestone has demonstrated that African singers can sell out enormous arenas outside of Africa, as the “On The Low” singer’s global tours are now among the highest-earning by African artists.
