IT’S jolly good time once again for fuji music lovers, as leading distillers and makers of quality drinks, Intercon­tinental Distillers Ltd, is set for the season 4 of its Bull Fuji Talent Hunt, which will take place in six states of the federation.
Bull Fuji Talent Hunt is a platform in which budding fuji artistes are discovered, nurtured and brought to limelight, through a series of rigorous zonal competi­tions. The eventual winner must posses among other qualities, stagecraft and control, dressing, and audience appeal.
Season 4 of Bull Fuji Talent Hunt will kick off at KS Motel, Total Garden, Ibadan, Oyo State on Friday April 1, 2016 and move to Ijebu-Ode Club, Ijebu-Ode, Ogun State on Friday April 8. It will be the turn of Ikorodu Club on Friday April 15. The train will move to Dia­mond Plaza Hall, Ayoni Bus Stop, Mafoluku, Oshodi, Lagos on Friday April 22.
On April 29, the fuji train will berth at Osogbo City Hall, Osogbo, Osun State while the next port of call is Akure City Hall, Old Garage, Akure, Ondo State on Friday May 6. The last leg of the zonal competition will come up at Arts & Culture Hall, Ilorin, Kwara State on Friday May 13 at 12 noon prompt. The grand finale will come up at Mauve 21 Events Centre, by Adeoyo Junction, Ring Road, Ibadan, Oyo State.
However, to make the show more hilarious and fun-filled, fuji stars including Abass Akande Obesere, Rasheed Ayinde Merenge, Taye Akande Currency, Muri Thunder, and Tiri Leather have been lined up to perform.
Packaged by Lanre Alabi’s Kingsize Entertain­ment and supported by Fuji Musicians Associa­tion of Nigeria (FUMAN), Bull Fuji Talent Hunt is regarded as the best thing to happen to fuji music in recent times, due to the fact that it is widely accepted in the entire southwest part of Nigeria, where the genre is largely popular.
“We are committed to promoting indigenous music, fuji. Therefore, at IDL our aims and objec­tives is to give upcoming fuji artistes in the south­west part of Nigeria and Lagos the platform to showcase their God-given talents and skills thereby becoming world class musicians via Bull Fuji Talent Hunt,” Mr. Mobolaji Alalade, Head of Marketing, IDL, said.
