A segment of the Samsung building under construction and located at Banex Junction, Aminu Kano Crescent, Wuse 2, Abuja, has collapsed.
The incident occurred when the Pent House segment of the three-storey building collapsed during casting.
No life was lost to the incident.
However, four out of the 10 construction workers on site sustained minor injuries.
Head, Public Affairs, Emergency Management Department, (FEMD), in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja, Nkechi Isa, in a statement, said four injured workers have been taken to the Wuse General Hospital for treatment.
On November 6, 2023, the same building was gutted by fire.
The Ag Director General of the FCT Emergency Management Department (FEMD), Engr. Abdulrahman Mohammed, appealed to developers to adhere to the building code.
Aside from urging developers to always ensure on-site safety, Mohammed appealed to residents to use the 112 emergency toll-free number in the event of a disaster.
