Supporters of President Muhammadu Buhari and lawyers in defence of human rights, gathered today in Abuja with a unanimous decision that the DG DSS must be sacked, arrested and prosecuted over his supposed plot to undermine President Buhari and frame CBN Governor Godwin Emefiele on terrorism charges.

The groups in a statement by their Convener, Tochukwu Ohazuruike, while also alerting the public of a grand plan to smear the name of the CBN Governor and President Muhammadu Buhari by hired groups, will be staging disruptive protests in CBN offices across the country in advancement of the failed plot to derail Buhari agenda and force the CBN Governor out of office.

The groups raised alarm over what it described as a plan to launch a fresh salvo of allegations against the CBN Governor.

The statement reads: “Despite being defeated by last week’s court ruling, they want to yet again come up with a plan to fabricate another allegation to help them arrest the Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Mr Godwin Emefiele, force him to resign to pave way for the appointment of a DSS stooge as Acting CBN Governor despite numerous judgments from courts of competent jurisdiction.

“The DSS are backed by unscrupulous politicians bent on rigging the election. We once again call on the culprits to desist from their evil plot and support President Buhari’s credible elections and handover agenda. We won’t tolerate any plot to undermine Buhari’s peaceful transition plan.”
