President Muhammadu Buhari has asked Comptroller General of the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), Martin Abeshi, to vacate office as his tenure in office has expired.
Daily Sun gathered yesterday night that Abeshi, who was appointed to replace former Comptroller General, David Parradang, who was fingered in the tragic 2014 recruitment saga in Immigration, was not considered to continue in office as his tenure had since lapsed.
Abeshi, who headed the Immigration service, comes from Nassarawa state in the North-Central
It was also gathered that the Immigration CG ought to have retired since last year December but allegedly lobbied his way back to the seat.
