Alhaji Lai Mohammed, Managing Partner of Bruit Costaud, articulates a vision for collaborative governance in Nasarawa State, emphasizing evidence-based policies and inclusive stakeholder engagement to address pressing challenges and propel development initiatives forward.

During the courtesy visit to Nasarawa state governor, Abdullahi Sule on Tuesday, Alhaji Lai Mohammed commended the governor for his recent victory at the Supreme Court and lauded his administration’s achievements in governance, infrastructure, and grassroots engagement.

Mohammed highlighted Nasarawa’s unique potential for growth and development, given its strategic proximity to the Federal Capital Territory.

Introducing Bruit Costaud as a premier advisory firm specializing in navigating policy landscapes across Africa, Mohammed outlined the diverse services offered by the firm. These include strategic communications, commercial diplomacy, dispute resolution, geopolitical intelligence, stakeholder mapping, legislative affairs, and executive training.

Expressing confidence in the alignment between Bruit Costaud’s expertise and Nasarawa State’s objectives, Mohammed emphasized collaboration rather than competition.

He proposed tailored services aimed at amplifying the state’s projects and policies, enhancing its visibility at national and international fora, capacity building for information officers and public officials, legislative advocacy, and humanitarian and economic intervention amplification.

“Nasarawa State occupies a unique position in the development landscape of Nigeria, and our collaboration aims to harness its full potential for the benefit of its people.” He said.

Mohammed stressed the potential benefits of collaboration, emphasizing the importance of evidence-based policies and inclusive stakeholder engagement. He expressed optimism about the positive impact such collaboration could have on addressing the state’s pressing challenges and advancing its development agenda.

In response, governor Abdullahi Sule lauded the efforts of former Minister, Mr. Lai Mohammed, for his pioneering initiative, Bruit Costaud, expressed confidence in the project, citing the reputable names associated with its inception.

Emphasizing the significance of human capital development, Governor Sule highlighted the existence of a well-established human capital agency in the state, operationalized by law. He welcomed Bruit Costaud’s commitment to advancing human capacity within the region.

Addressing concerns over the proliferation of fake news, Governor Sule underscored its disruptive impact in Nasarawa State. He expressed hope that initiatives like Bruit Costaud would aid in curbing misinformation, heralding it as a significant achievement in combating the spread of false narratives.

Governor Sule recounted a recent instance of fake news circulating about an alleged theft of 40 million naira from his bedroom.

He vehemently denied the claim, asserting that such an amount wouldn’t be stored in his personal quarters. He alleged that the perpetrators behind the false report sought monetary gain from him, which he refused to entertain, leading to the dissemination of the fabricated story.

Reflecting on his prior associations with Mr. Lai Mohammed during their tenure in Lagos and at the Dangote Group, Governor Sule commended Mohammed for his continued dedication to public service.

He praised Mohammed for his ongoing contributions post his service in the previous administration of President Muhammadu Buhari, emphasizing his commitment to value addition.

The governor however, expressed optimism for the positive outcomes stemming from collaborative efforts aimed at fostering development and combating misinformation within Nasarawa State.
