Bring Dogara back to APC, Northern youths appeal to Tinubu

The Concerned Northern All Progressive Congress (APC) Youth Forum has appealed to President Bola Tinubu to reconcile former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt Hon Yakubu Dogara, with All Progressive Congress (APC) and return him back to the party in the interest of peace and harmony.

The youth Forum restated that President Tinubu and other stakeholders of the APC should do all they could to ensure that the former Speaker is brought back to the party fold.

In a statement on Tuesday, the Chairman of the Forum, Suleiman Liba stressed that every aggrieved member of the party who left for one reason or the other should be approached, “so as to mend broken fences”.

Liba was particular about Yakubu Dogara, stating that he has contributed immensely to the progress of the APC and should not be overlooked, as the former speaker still has a lot to offer the APC.

The APC youth chairman also argued that Yakubu Dogara also covers the interest of the minority North East Christians and, “will always balance the book in terms of equity and fairness.”

According to the statement, “Electioneering is now over, the time for the party to start mending fences and repairing the soured relationship is now.

“We will always support the decision of the party at all times just as we also call on the party to also pay attention to us whenever an observation is raised.

“We acknowledged Mr President’s effort so far in trying to ensure that the party remain one indivisible entity. We congratulate the new Exco members of our dear party.”
