Super Eagles forward, Victor Boniface has been criticised by his German Bundesliga club for lacking training intensity, as the Nigerian awaits his first goal since joining from Bayer Leverkusen on a season-long loan.
According to the Bild report, Werder Bremen internally criticizes Victor Boniface for the lack of training intensity.
This is particularly noticeable in team exercises and is said to have been similar in Leverkusen.
This may also be why Keke Topp has recently been getting starts in the lineup.

Further evidence of this is that in Leipzig, Topp was preferred to Boniface in Bremen’s starting eleven for the second time in a row – even though the latter had made a very lively impression after coming on as a substitute in the late 2-1 home win against Wolfsburg before the international break, and had even set up the winning goal.
“Keke already started against Wolfsburg. It was good for us that he kept shielding the ball and passing it on. He put in a decent performance,” said Steffen about the youngster after the Leipzig game.
While Topp didn’t quite manage everything against RB Leipzig – he had a particularly difficult time in Bremen’s offensively toothless first half – he was much more present in the second half and almost rewarded himself with the equaliser, had he not been offside by mere centimeters.
