First Lady of Nigeria, Oluremi Tinubu, has called on all Nigerians, especially women, to prioritise their health as October marks Breast Cancer Awareness Month 2025.

In a message commemorating the month, Mrs Tinubu emphasised the importance of early detection through regular self-examination and timely medical screenings as critical tools in the fight against breast cancer.

She urged women—mothers, sisters, and daughters alike—to take proactive steps to safeguard their health.

“As women, mothers, sisters, and daughters, our health must remain a priority. Early detection saves lives. Regular self-examination and timely medical screening are key in the fight against breast cancer,” the First Lady stated.

She also encouraged collective efforts to raise awareness, support survivors, and motivate one another through this important health campaign.

“Let us work together to stay healthy,” the First Lady added, while extending her warm wishes to all in observance of Breast Cancer Awareness Month 2025.
