Singer Habeeb Okikiola, commonly called Portable has been arrested by the  Ogun State command of  the Nigeria Police.

The arrest comes after the expiration of a 72-hour ultimatum handed down to the controversial singer for refusing to honour the invitation.

Officials of the Nigeria Police Ogun state command had issued a 72-hour ultimatum for the  singer to report himself to the nearest police station or be arrested by Friday.

The spokes person of the Police in Ogun state, Abimbola Oyeyemi, confirmed the development in a statement made available to Journalists.

Mr Oyeyemi said Portable had been informed to report himself to the police or risk being arrested.

He also confirmed that Portable’s father had pleaded on his son’s behalf and promised to bring him to the station.
