The military claimed UNICEF has “abdicated its primary mandate.
“Consequently, the Theatre Command Operation Lafiya Dole is suspending the operations of the United Nations International Children’s Education Fund (UNICEF) in the North East until further notice,” it said in the statement issued by Operation Lafiya Doles’ spokesman, Col Onyema Nwachukwu.
