The Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Mojisola Meranda, has resigned.
Meranda, who announced her resignation at the ongoing plenary of the House on Monday, said she had to make a personal sacrifice to protect the legislative institution.
The Deputy Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Mojeed Fatai, also resigned.
