Suspected Fulani militias were said to have invaded Agojeju Odo in Omala Local Government Area of Kogi state and killed scores of people and set Houses Ablaze.

The Fulani bandits who were having running battle with Agatu militia in Benue state, had extended their onslaught to the sleepy town of Agojeju Odo, Ajokpachi Odo, Bagaji and her environs destroying their farm produce with ease in attempt to draw them into the conflict.

According to a local who lost his wife and children , he alleged the Fulani decided to unleash mayhem on them , alleging that the people were in complicit with the Agatus against them.

As the time time of filling this report, the town has been reduced to rubbles and able bodied men who dared to protect their villages have been killed by high calibre armour carrying Fulani bandits.

All efforts to speak to chairman of the Omala LGC and the police public Relations officer proved abortive

According to the locals, Kogi state governor Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo and Security Agencies should proactively come to their aid by deploying security personnel to the area, as the police in the Local Government Council have been overwhelmed and overpowered by the marauders.
