A portion of the Supreme Court was engulfed by fire pn Monday.
Our correspondent gathered that the incident, which affected about three offices, including that of Justice Ibrahim Saulawa, was caused by electrical fault.
Meanwhile, the fire has since been put off by the fire service officials stationed in the court.
The court’s spokesman, Dr. Festus Akande who confirmed the development said the fire incident has since been taken care of by staff.
While describing the incident as an unfortunate development, Akande said: “It was a minor incident which some of our staff promptly took care of with the aid of fire extinguisher.”
