The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASU) has extended its warning strike for another two months.
ASUU took the decision to continue the strike at a marathon National Executive Council (NEC) held at the union’s national secretariat at the University of Abuja over the weekend.
Although the union has not made any public statement regarding the outcome of the meeting, an official of the union who spoke on anonymity disclosed that members resolved that the industrial action be extended for two more months.
According to the source said, the outcome of the meeting was being drafted to be released in a statement to the media soon.
