The sorting of votes by national delegates of the All Progressive Congress (APC) has commenced at the Eagle Square venue of the APC Special Convention to elect a presidential candidate for the party.
The voting exercise to determine the standard bearer of the party , which was carried out by 2,340 delegates, started at about 2.40 am and ended at 7.45 am.

The six-hour voting process ended with a few delegates still hanging around the Eagle Square.
It was learnt at the convention venue in Abuja that the battle for the presidential ticket is still narrowed between Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo; Senate President, Ahmad Lawan and the National Leader of the party, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu and Rotimi Amaechi.
