Brand Nigeria celebrates resilience, innovation

By Peace Ologun

Business leaders, brand custodians, and communication experts recently gathered at the Top 50 Brands Nigeria Forum to celebrate Brand Nigeria at 65, where they empahsised and showcased the nation’s resilience, innovation, and economic transformation.

At the event, Top 50 Brands Nigeria released the 2025 edition of its highly anticipated annual brand performance report, unveiling the 50 most admired and resilient brands that power Nigeria.

Themed: ‘From Challenge to Opportunity: Projecting the True Nigerian Spirit’, the convener, Taiwo Oluboyede, described Nigerians as “the most hardworking and determined people in the world.” He noted that the forum was created to rewrite the narrative about Nigeria by highlighting brands and individuals who reflect the true spirit of excellence and endurance. Oluboyede noted that brand has become the most valuable asset of a corporate organisation, adding that its strength goes a long way to determine the longevity, even profitability of a business.

“We must be proud to say we are Brand Nigeria,” Oluboyede declared.

He noted that projecting the true Naija spirit is not just a slogan. “It’s our truth. It’s who we are – we are resilient, relentless, pursuing till success is achieved. We’re here today to amplify that narrative, to remind ourselves and to tell the world that Nigerians are the most hardworking, most determined set of people you could get as workers in an establishment, as partners, because we have drive for success, even where there are challenges.”
