The office of the Federal Institute of Industrial Research Oshodi (FIIRO) was gutted by fire on Thursday morning.
The cause of the fire is unknown and it reportedly started around midnight on Christmas Day and continued till the early hours of Boxing Day.
It was gathered that officials of the Lagos State Fire & Rescue Service were on site to quell the inferno which proved to be a challenge.

Property worth millions were reportedly destroyed but fortunately, there was no loss of lives as of the time of filing this report.
The firefighters battled to stop the fire from spreading and efforts to manage the situation were still ongoing as of press time.
