Bournemouth owner Bill Foley previously mentioned having contingency plans in place in case a club activated Dominic Solanke’s release clause, which Tottenham did last week in a deal potentially worth up to £65 million.
Evanilson, who was called up to the Brazil squad for the Copa America this summer and has earned two caps this year, joined Porto in 2020 and netted 17 goals last season in both the Portuguese league and the Champions League.
Bournemouth’s previous record signing was Jefferson Lerma, who was acquired for £25 million from Levante in 2018.
