Borno State Commissioner for Finance, Budget and Planning, Alhaji Ahmed Ali Ahmed is dead.
Ahmed passed away few hours after reporting in his Ministry of Finance, Budget and Planning office at the Musa Usman State Secretariat in Maiduguri on Monday morning, some workers told The Sun.
He reportedly exchanged pleasantries with workers and some individuals but left barely an hour later, the unconfirmed sources added.

Ahmed was a banker with the Zenith Bank before his appointment as commissioner by Gov Babagana Zulum in August 2023.
Government is yet to issue official statement confirming the incident.
His death came barely a year after the passing away of another commissioner in charge of Reconstruction, Rehabilitation and Resettlement (RRR) ministry.
