For the second time in two weeks, bomb explosion has killed one person and injured four others in Bassa community of Shiroro Local Government Area(LGA), Niger State.
The incident which occured yesterday morning, was said to have killed a middle-aged man who was heading to his farm within the community.
This latest incident is coming barely two weeks after a similar explosion killed another farmer while returning from his farm in the same Bassa community.
A source close to Bassa community,told our correspondent, that the first explosion that occurred two weeks ago, was planted by suspected bandits, targeting members of the Joint Security Taskforce, recently deployed to the area after the community was sacked in April this year by the bandits.
Although details of the latest incident were sketchy as at the time of filling this report, but a community source, Ahmed Almustapha, told our Correspondent on phone that three of the four injured victims, lost their legs in the explosion and were receiving treatment in a government health care facility in Minna, the state capital.
According to him ,that was the second time explosion had occurred this month in the community.

He disclosed further that the first explosion which occured two weeks ago, claimed one life.
He appealed to Niger State Government and the Federal Government (FG),to come to their aid to arrest the current situation.
Bassa community had come under heavy attacks from Gunmen suspected to be Boko Haram Insurgents in April this year, forcing the entire community to flee their homes.
No fewer than 30 people were killed within the period, 20 among the victims had their heads cut off by the gunmen who warned that members of the community must not return to their homes.
This prompted the state government to deploy a joint security taskforce to the area in June this year and normalcy was restored in the community.
It was gathered that the gunmen who are facing challenges following the deployment of the joint security taskforce to the area, out of frustration started planting explosives along major roads in the community, specifically targeting members of the joint security taskforce.
