From Agaju Madugba, Katsina
The Katsina State Command of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has confirmed the killing of nine persons in a road crash on Sunday morning.
According to the FRSC Sector Commander, Aliyu Ma’aji, the crash occurred along the Malumfashi-Kafur road involving a 20-seater Hummer bus from Katsina town.
He noted that preliminary investigations attributed the incident to over-speeding, which might have led the driver to lose control and skid off the road.
Nine persons with varying degrees of injuries were evacuated to a hospital, Ma’aji said, and urged motorists to avoid overspeeding, overloading, and reckless driving at all times.
