From a young age, Njume was immersed in the vibrant music scene. This early exposure ignited his passion for music, a passion that would eventually guide his path to stardom.
In 2010, Njume immigrated to the United States where he faced the challenges of building a new life while pursuing his musical dreams. A pivotal moment arrived in 2016 when he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps. The discipline and resilience instilled by his military service proved invaluable, shaping his artistic approach.
Initially known as Vreezy Ville, Njume began making strides in the Afro-urban music scene, collaborating with renowned artistes like Mr. Leo, Aveiro Djess and DJ Coublon. However, he felt a need for a deeper artistic expression.
In 2024, Njume rebranded as Black Ville, reflecting a more mature and authentic artistic voice. This transformation saw the Cameroonian-American musician embrace a unique fusion of Afrobeats, Amapiano and rap, often incorporating rock guitar riffs. Drawing inspiration from his diverse experiences in Africa and America, Black Ville’s music resonates with audiences worldwide.
With 13 years of industry experience, Black Ville cites icons like P-Square, Michael Jackson and Don Jazzy as his inspirations. He remains dedicated to his craft, inviting fans to join him on his journey as he continues to ascend the global music stage.
