A businessman, Adenuga Olanrewaju has sent a-save-our -souls to Inspector General of Police (IGP), Kayode Egbetokun, to intervene and save his family from a suspected land grabber.
According to Mr. Olanrewaju, alleged that the land grabber was using corrupt police officers to intimidate and threaten him.
The urgent appeal was detailed in a petition to the IGP, where Mr. Olanrewaju recounted the tragic death of one of his domestic staff, David Huesu.
He claimed that the deceased was killed by an Army officer, who acted on the instruction of the land grabber who invaded his land.
This incident has raised serious concerns for Mr. Olanrewaju, who reported noticing strange individuals around his home, which he claimed was posing potential threat to his family’s safety.
Mr. Olanrewaju who narrated his ordeals, said that on July 20, 2024, at around 4:30 am, he received the devastating news that Huesu, working on his site was killed during an invasion by the Nigerian Army personnel allegedly hired by Emerini.
He has called on the IGP to investigate the extra-judicial killing, which he claimed involved the army and was accompanied by police officers, despite an ongoing investigation into a previous petition filed in the IGP’s office.
In his Save-Our-Souls , also addressed to the Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, the Chairman of the Police Service Commission, and the Minister of Police Affairs, Mr. Olanrewaju urgently requested that they should wade into the matter.
He highlighted issues of “killings, maiming, harassment, violence, and attempted cover-ups” linked to Mr. Emerini’s alleged activities.
