Bishop Kwakpovwe returns with world anointing

For charismatic cleric and Bishop of the Manna Mountain Ministries, Dr. Chris Kwakpovwe, he has been so used to handling the mammoth crowd that normally attends his annual World Anointing Service. But in the last three years when the service couldn’t hold — no thanks to the global pandemic that distorted a lot of lives and activities— a lot changed. When the popular pharmacist turned preacher decided to host the 2022 edition of the annual healing service, there was a lot of skepticism about the turnout. However, last Saturday July 23, when the church finally hosted the annual programme, Bishop Kwakpovwe was astounded by the sheer crowd of people from within and outside the country who turned up at the anointing service held at the Ogudu, Lagos headquarters of the church.

At the Service with the theme: ‘Oh Finger of God: Show Up For Me’, thousands of worshipers from every part of the world including the United States, Canada, Europe and several African countries witnessed the overwhelming flow of testimonies. As usual, the service commenced with a series of exhortations delivered by the ministers of the Manna Prayer Mountain and other ordained ministers of God. The atmosphere became charged when Bishop Kwakpovwe mounted the altar and in his usual captivating style of ministration, prepared the hearts of the teeming worshipers to receive from God, including millions of others who joined the crusade through live streaming. His dynamic ministration accentuated with a strong measure of boldness and rare confidence drew many to a tearful conviction and deep hunger for a real encounter with the living God. The Delta State-born preacher, who is the publisher of the popular daily devotional, Our Daily Manna, concluded the anointing service with a series of prophetic prayers.
