The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) under the leadership of Mr. Nnamdi Kanu, yesterday cried out to the entire world over the alleged list of 45 wanted Biafrans in the Department of State Security (DSS) office in Abuja.
The group noted that the listed names of IPOB members and Biafrans whom they wanted to be arrested whenever they lay their hands on them, was uncalled for because the group believed in non-violent struggle for restoration of Biafran state.
A statement by the Media and Publicity Secretary of IPOB, Mr. Emma Powerful said among the wanted names is the wife of the leader of IPOB, Mrs. Uchechi Okwu Kanu who is in London nursing a new born baby.
He stated that it baffled him that a security agency would be after unarmed members of the group while terrorist groups, who disguised as cattle rearers, going about killing innocent citizens of the country, were not touched or harmed.
“We are calling on the international community, human rights organisations, Amnesty International, America, Russia, France, Germany, China, Japan Israel and other countries of the world who love freedom, human rights watch, Christian community and all lovers of freedom and the United Nations (UN) to come to our rescue .”
