Grammy winner, Wizkid has described his upcoming album ‘Morayo’ as the best he ever made.

The ‘Essence’ crooner said this during an interactive session with fans via his verified X handle on Thursday, June 20.

In a recent interview with Esquire, the musician revealed how he came about the name for the upcoming album.

“I’ve named it my mum’s name,” he says – his mother’s name being ‘Morayo’, a Yoruba word that means ‘I see joy’.

The singer had set tongues wagging on X earlier in the day with a subtle hint that he could start a church.

Some of his 13.1 million X followers took to the comment section of his post to react and the conversation soon veered in other directions.

A follower, Chima Derah asked: “When is Morayo coming???”

Reacting to the question, Wizkid said, “Best I ever made! Anytime now ❤️.”

Wizkid currently has five albums to his name – ‘Superstar’ (2011), Ayo (2014), ‘Sounds from the Other Side’ (2017), ‘Made in Lagos’ (2020) and ‘More Love, Less Ego’ (2022).

The 33-year-old star is currently in Paris, France for the Louis Vuitton runway show.
