Benue SUBEB commends Gov. Alia’s infrastructural reforms

Benue State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB) has commended Governor Hyacinth Iormem Alia for his substantial infrastructural reforms within the state as he marks his first year in office.

Executive Chairman, Benue SUBEB, Grace Adagba, in a congratulatory message, yesterday, praised the governor’s visionary leadership and transformative achievements.

According to her, “Alia’s administration has significantly enhanced the education sector through comprehensive reforms implemented by SUBEB. Key developments include operational advancements at SUBEB feature data verification, an automated payroll system, and the training of 150 head teachers.”

Adagba added that the establishment of a state-of-the-art Digital Resource Centre, equipped with modern technology and 120 KVA solar panels for a 24-hour power supply, ensures uninterrupted operations and enhanced educational resources.

She further highlighted improvements such “the provision of a borehole for uninterrupted water supply, construction of a new office complex for the executive chairman, the remodelling of a block into a digital resource centre, and extensive renovations of multiple office blocks.

“Under Governor Alia’s leadership, students from UBE Junior Secondary Schools in Benue achieved international recognition by winning a bilateral debate competition in Indonesia. These initiatives underscore Governor Alia’s commitment to revitalising the education sector and fostering a brighter future for Benue State.

“Beyond education, Alia’s has embarked on construction of standard roads, installation of streetlights, procurement and donation of hummer buses to Benue Links Company, the renovation of the Benue State secretariat, and the construction of an interchange underpass at High Level Roundabout in Makurdi and Gboko.”

Adagba commended Governor Alia’s efforts in enhancing security, promoting agriculture, and fostering economic growth.

“Congratulations, your excellency, on this milestone anniversary. We look forward to greater successes as we journey together towards a prosperous future for all,” she said.
